News and Past Events: News

It was a quiet year for the JMF in 2024.  We had one event (BBQ) that raised $4,500.  It was good to see our supporters enjoy mingling, food, games, and music.  We are working on the events for 2025 and are looking to continue the Golf Outing (May 15) and the Gala (December 6).

How we fulfill our mission:

1.      Donations will continue to be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering to be used in the research of new treatments for Osteosarcoma - a rare disease where the standard of care is decades old.  MSK is a leader in pediatric Sarcoma research.

2.      We continue to make a difference to cancer patients and their families by providing financial support to cover Essential expenses so they can focus more on caring for their patient and End-of-Life costs to ease the burden of losing a loved one.

3.      We continue to seek opportunities to support anti-bullying programs in schools for programs and initiatives that are conducive to having a school culture noted for being respectful, mindful, and kind.  We again provided two seniors at Glen Rock High School with the JMF Humble & Kind Award at the school's Senior Awards/Scholarship ceremony in 2024.
